In most cases, Comprehensive claims and "not-at-fault" accidents will not raise your insurance rates. However, accidents that are deemed "at-fault" and "moving violations" will be counted against you and insurance carriers can legally charge you an increased premium at your next renewal.
What should I do if I think I have a claim?
As licensed agents in California, our office staff is required to report all possible claims to the appropriate insurance carrier. Therefore, we advice our clients to decide whether or not they want a claim on their record prior to contacting our office.
